 Selena Quintanilla Perez (Spanish pronunciation, [se'lenakinta'nija'peres]; April 16, 1971 - March 31 1995) is also known as Selena is a famous American Tejano singer. Her contributions to music and fashion have made her the "Queen" of Tejano music. Selena is among the most prominent Mexican-American entertainers of the 20th century. Billboard magazine placed her at third place in the year 2020, in their "Greatest Latino Artists List of All Time", which was inspired by Latin music as well as Latin albums. Her attire earned her the name "Tejano Madonna". Her clothing choices are what gave her the name "Tejano Madonna" by various media outlets. Quintanilla, Suzette Quintanilla.
