Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a uncommon pop sensation: A celebrity who has strayed from the world of country music to pop culture, turning into the pop icon of the future that will be around forever, and will conquer every corner of the globe. Swift shed her country roots as if they were just a second skin to reveal that she was perhaps the savviest pop-oriented singer/songwriter of her time, someone who was able to harness the zeitgeist make it personal and also perform opposite. Swift's first hits, particularly her neo celebration of Tim McGraw, showed off the talents of her. The album from 2008 Fearless revealed a songwriter who was discovering herself and gaining a huge following. The album was a huge success, not just on American soil, with six platinum-certified singles. In fact, the Top Ten songs Love Story and I Belong with Me were the main reasons for this. But, it also did very well across the globe. Swift managed to build upon her popularity by releasing Speak Now almost two year after. The next three albums she released, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) and Reputation, Swift's popularity grew and she was able to enter a world of pop music with a clear sense of where she was a part of. It was not long before she changed her strategy with 2020's pared-down siblings Folklore (and Evermore) and stayed at the top of the charts.
