Fawn Mckay
Fawn McKay was born in Ogden Utah on September 15 1915. Fawn MCKAY, born into the Mormon Church's First Family utilized her writing talent as well as skills in researching to produce the intriguing biographical psycho-historical study of Joseph Smith. Published in 1945 under the title"No Man knows My History, she used both. The title was inspired by the sermon title given by Joseph Smith in 1844. In the sermon, he amazed his audience with his words: "You are not my friend and have not heard my heart. My history is unknown to any one. It's impossible to tell. Fawn (29 years old) said that, after her confessional moment the three hundred and thirty writers have stood up to the event. Some have rebuked him, while others have glorified. Few have made a diagnosis. Not that the documents are not there, but the fact that they're contradictory. The task is to sort out the firsthand evidence from the third-party plagiarism and fitting Mormon-and non-Mormon-narratives into a cohesive mosaic of reliable history. I find it both fascinating as well as fascinating. FawnBrodie was a dedicated devotee to her career path. Her research and writing made her immortalized with worldwide fame. Thaddeus Stevens. The Devil drives (1959). Thomas Jefferson. A Personal Historiography (1974) and later posthumously Richard Nixon.
